Emotions

Emotion – such a powerful force, I find myself sitting in my office at work harbouring such overwhelming anger and frustration that the need to physically strike out is quite palpable. The reason for overwrought state –  a plethora of irritating, incompetent and annoying people that inhabit my career like a virus. The response from most is to say “oh get over it, rise above the temptation, be the better person” but let me say when the spectre is in your face day in and day out it is incredibly exhausting.

Of course the likelihood of my physically lashing out is pretty much non-existent as “nice girls” dont hit – more’s the pity is my current opinion. I shall be trawling the local classifieds for something along the lines of :-

Frustrated Execs? Release your anger at “Pop a Boss” – you provide the picture and we’ll make up a hot-air balloon – you choose the method of deflation”

I reckon there’s a fortune to be made.

Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Lofty aspirations indeed – today I am failing, badly.

  1. I hear you loud and clear. Pop a boss (or colleague) sounds immensely appealing to me and probably far better for lowering blood pressure too 🙂

It’s wonderful to ‘see’ you again! *huge happy grin*
