Its springy

So I had allusions of visiting our local botanical gardens and returning with a riotous display representative of Spring in South Africa. However, as with most well laid plans, it didn’t happen but with a perpetually itchy camera finger I instead found myself in my own patch of green – our bottlebrush is colouring up nicely, the birds and the bees are often found rushing about in its prickly branches. As for the ferns, well they caught my eye really because of the delicate silvery hairs apparent on the stems as they unroll. Can’t say I’ve seen that before, shows what you miss when you don’t get up close and personal.
